ELIGIBILITY:

All players to be 35 years of age or over, as of 30th June 2025

GAMES:

All Games are 100 minutes duration or 7 innings.

No new innings to start after 90 mins. Home team may complete the inning if behind at 90 minutes.

Game time of 75 minutes constitutes a ‘full game’ if weather stops the game.

A maximum of 5 runs per batting inning at which point the umpire will call “SIDE”

10 run lead mercy rule after 5 innings (5 Runs allows the game to flow more easily/quickly).

If a finals game is a tie after the even innings and 100 minutes, the game should be played out. Next inning the batting side starts with a runner on second base (the last out from the previous inning shall be the runner). Play out the even extra inning (No sudden death run/rule). If no result after that extra inning, the next inning will start with runners on second and third base, play out the even inning.

If raining at scheduled commencement, the umpire can declare ‘WASHOUT’, 20 minutes past official start time. Games shortened to 90 minutes if delayed for more than 10 minutes.

In the event of a ‘WASHOUT’ each team awarded 1 point on a 0-0 score.

First named is the AWAY team, occupies 1st base bench and BAT FIRST.

Second Named is the HOME team, occupies 3rd base bench and FIELD FIRST.

Competition is “ROUND ROBIN”, with 2 points for win – 1 for draw – 0 for loss.

If teams are tied at end of the competition, count back will be awarded on ‘Runs For’ or head to head if still tied.

Final top four to play off for Medal rounds – 1v 2 for Gold & Silver – 3 v 4 for Bronze

“SPEED UP” rules can be applied for runners for catchers (and pitcher if required) with less than 2 OUTS, mandatory on 2 OUTS. Runners are to come from bench, if on the team sheet, otherwise revert to last batted out. Speed-up runner should be ready to go.
